The Commando perk is one of the most popular among some fans of the multiplayer component of the first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
On his Twitter page, Infinity Ward's Head of Communications Robert Bowling officially announced that during the rebalancing of Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer, the developers decided to abandon the inclusion of the Commando perk in the game.
This perk allows players in Modern Warfare 2 to perform a melee attack from a greater distance, resulting in the attacking player literally teleporting to their victim within striking distance.
Modern Warfare 3 is expected to be released on November 8, 2011.
