Magazine editor Nathan Brown announced that in the upcoming issue of EDGE, which will be released next week, readers will not find a full review with a rating for Death Stranding. Readers will only be offered a four-page preview, written based on 40 hours of gameplay. There will be no rating.

“According to the embargo, we had to finish the game to write a review. The deadline for submitting material for print was important, but our enthusiasm ran out much earlier than the time,” Brown wrote on Twitter, adding that readers are unlikely to read a Death Stranding review in the next issue of EDGE.

“The situation can be described like this. This morning I told my wife that Death Stranding reviews were out. In response, she said: ‘Oh, that backpack game you hate?’” Brown noted.
