Nintendo has announced the release of a new Wii U console firmware version 5.0.0, which brought a number of innovations, in particular, the Quick Start Menu.
Various information messages will now appear on the Wii U GamePad when the console is in standby mode. System updates will now install automatically when the Wii U is in standby mode.
Nintendo has updated the design and layout of User Settings, a Start Menu section has appeared in Power Settings, and Wii U GamePad notifications can now be managed from the Quick Start Menu section.
