According to Andriasang, citing Semiconductor Industry News, Samsung will be responsible for supplying central processing units for the new PlayStation Vita handheld console.

The source writes that the CPUs for PlayStation Vita are assembled using a 45nm process with the same technologies used in the assembly of modern revisions of processors for PS3 and Xbox 360.

It is worth adding that Sony and Samsung actively conduct business together; for example, they have a joint LCD panel manufacturing plant in Korea.

The launch of PS Vita, at least in Japan, is expected this year.
