Information has surfaced online that the Nintendo 3DS is not only a handheld gaming console, but also a device that counts your steps while walking or running.
Interestingly, Nintendo plans to encourage players to walk more often with the 3DS. The built-in pedometer will track the number of steps taken, which will then be sent to the Activity Log application.
Depending on the number of steps, you will receive “game coins” (Game Coins), which can be used to unlock certain in-game content.
