A month ago, information appeared on the ESRB rating board's website that the stealth action game Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, which was released for the PSP in the fall of 2007 as a sequel to Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, would be coming to the PS2.

This information was officially confirmed by Bend Studios creative director John Garvin, who stated that Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow will be released for the PS2 on June 1 of this year.

The developers claim that this is not just a simple port—some textures have been redrawn in higher resolution, and various graphical effects have also been added. In addition, Bend Studios utilized the second analog stick as well as the extra buttons on the DualShock 2 controller.

Also this summer, a 120-page graphic novel titled Syphon Filter: The Opposition Effect is expected to be released on the PlayStation Store, bridging the narrative gap between Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow.
