Clint Hocking, the very game designer who dreamed that completing next-generation single-player games would take around four hours, has left Valve after spending a year and a half at the company.
Hocking worked on level design for games in the Splinter Cell series and was also the creative director of Far Cry 2. In May 2010, he left Ubisoft and subsequently joined LucasArts, where he led the development of an unannounced project as creative director. He left LucasArts in June 2012, before Disney acquired and later shut down the company.
He had been working at Valve since July 2012; his resume states that he was a level designer. Given his background in creating action games and shooters, one could assume that at Valve he was working on a project in the same genre as well. The only question is: which one?
