The game's title features the names of the two main characters, Yooka the chameleon and Laylee the bat. Using each other's unique abilities, the heroes will travel through a colorful world, fighting enemies and solving puzzles.

The developers launched on Kickstarter, planning to raise 175,000 British pounds within 45 days, but it only took them 40 minutes. In one day, almost 930,000 British pounds have been raised, and at this rate, the game could become a Kickstarter leader.
