Firaxis started working on Civilization 7? The studio is looking for a writer

Firaxis Games is working on several projects, including one new IP. Therefore, it is not surprising that the developer is looking for talented staff to join the team.

There is a large list of vacancies on the Greenhouse portal, including a position for a narrative designer. The prospective employee must be able to create great dialogue, a living world, and interesting characters. What is even more interesting is that they will work on an AAA strategy game, and an interest in world history is welcome.

The description sounds like requirements for continuing the Sid Meier’s Civilization series. It is quite possible that the creators have started working on the next game in the franchise. The development of the sixth installment seems to have come to an end, as the company released the final free update as part of New Frontier. It cannot be ruled out that the developers are deciding on new seasons and paid content, or a project about which nothing is known.

The applicant must have experience in a similar position on at least one AAA project and at least 3 years of game development experience. The ability to craft stories for cinematic cutscenes and strong interpersonal skills within a team, including with project directors, are also required.
