Rumor: Saints Row series to be rebooted, announcement coming before end of August

According to a source, the “crazy” crime action series will be rebooted. The announcement is expected before the end of the month.

There are rumors about Deep Silver Volition and Deep Silver working on a new Saints Row installment. However, it could be a complete reboot.

Insider Okami intrigued followers on Twitter. He posted a GIF featuring Saints Row gameplay and captioned it:

“Any Saints Row fans out there? I hear it is getting rebooted... announcement expected this month.”

Thus, a reboot of the Saints Row series could be announced before the end of August.

It is worth noting that mentions of a new Saints Row were already found back in 2019 in THQ Nordic’s financial report (for the first quarter).

“Volition is deep into development of a brand-new Saints Row game, the first full entry in this much-loved series since Saints Row IV was released in 2013.”
