Ubisoft allowed journalists from the German publication GameStar to play the co-op mode of Far Cry 6 and share its details with readers.
- The co-op mode supports up to two players. As a duo, you can complete the entire campaign, defeating the dictatorship, but all achievements will only count for the host;
- When connecting to someone else’s session, the guest retains all resources gathered in their own;
- If there is a large gap in progress between the host and the guest, the game adjusts to the guest;
- The guest cannot run far away from the host — if the distance between the two players becomes too great, the guest will be teleported to the host;
- Players on PlayStation 4 can overthrow the dictatorship together with PlayStation 5 users, just like fighters on Xbox One with revolutionaries on Xbox Series X|S. PC users are kept separate with other PC users;
- The game is fairly easy to complete solo, but in co-op the balance falls apart completely. Journalists hope that Ubisoft will fix everything by the sandbox’s release.
The release of Far Cry 6 is scheduled for October 7 of this year.
