Forspoken, a game about a magical world of a ruling matriarchy, will offer PlayStation 5 users three graphic modes at once. Creative producer of Luminous Productions, Raio Mitsuno, spoke about their features in an interview with Ungeek.
In Performance Mode, the game will run at 1440p resolution and 60 frames per second. Graphics Mode will scale the picture up to 4K, but the frame rate will drop to 30 fps. In the third mode, surfaces will shine with ray tracing; however, its frame rate has not been specified. Considering that real-time ray tracing technology is quite resource-intensive, the developers will have to resort to various tricks to keep performance at an acceptable level.
Forspoken will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC on May 24, 2022. Its price on Steam and the PS Store is nearly 6,000 rubles.
