Twitch will now show streamers why people unsubscribe

Previously, users could simply stop renewing their subscription, but now they must select a reason from the provided list

The latest update to the Twitch platform has added the ability for streamers to view the reasons why their subscriber count is decreasing. Now all viewers who do not renew their monthly subscription can specify the reason for this decision — whether financial or poor interaction between the streamer and the audience.

An attempt to support a streamer financially enrolled the viewer in automatic subscription renewal. The subscription itself usually includes ad-free viewing on the streamer's channel, various emotes, and other perks.

Streamers themselves had varied reactions to the update. Many found it pointless, while others could not care less, since people spend their money however they want. However, there were also those who believed that such information could harm a streamer's mental health.
