Xbox demonstrates solid growth in financial performance

Microsoft’s gaming division performance improved across the board. This is largely due to Game Pass and increased interest in Xbox Series X|S

Microsoft reported to investors for the second quarter of fiscal year 2022. The figures show that Xbox accounts for 11% of the tech giant’s total revenue.

  • Gaming division revenue grew by 8%;
  • Interest in Xbox Series X|S boosted “hardware” sales by 4%;
  • Services and content showed a 10% increase. The company attributes this to an increase in Game Pass library subscribers, the total number of which currently stands at over 25 million.

P.S

A company’s fiscal year is not tied to the calendar year. Microsoft calculates it in its own way: not from April to March like many others, but from July to June.
