Nearly nine times more people are playing Battlefield 5 on Steam than Battlefield 2042

Publisher Electronic Arts has already admitted that the shooter failed to meet expectations, but no one is going to abandon it just yet

The multiplayer shooter Battlefield 2042 continues to set negative records, demonstrating a massive exodus of players. At the time of writing, the shooter’s peak online count on Steam is 2,972 players, while nearly 27 thousand people are running across the World War II battlefields in Battlefield 5.

Electronic Arts has admitted the disastrous launch of Battlefield 2042, but promises to support the game with add-ons and updates. However, the launch of the first season will not take place until summer, and the promised major February update for the game will now be released no earlier than March.
