Nintendo shares drop following news of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delay to next year

However, the big “N” can afford to become a bit poorer, as its shares had previously shown good growth

Apparently, the delay of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild disappointed not only fans of Link’s adventures, but also investors — Nintendo shares fell by 6%.

However, as Serkan Toto, CEO of analytics agency Kantan Games, points out, the big “N” had previously shown moderate growth and recorded a 25% increase in the value of its securities compared to last year's figures for the same time period. Put simply: Nintendo can afford to lose a little money on the Breath of the Wild delay.

As a reminder, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will not be released until spring 2023 at the earliest.
