Director of film set in the Halo universe promises to do everything “canon”

Steven Ford has definitely seen the scathing reviews from users who watched Paramount's Halo series
The director of the short film Helljumpers, set in the Halo universe, promised fans to make everything “canon.” Steven Ford describes Helljumpers as a mix of HBO's Band of Brothers and Halo.
“I'm going to make a canon Halo movie for us. Announcing the cast soon. Release will take place in June.”
“This short film is a tribute to those trailers and games that shaped my love for science fiction in childhood.”
Prior to Helljumpers, Steven Ford had worked on short films inspired by Ghost of Tsushima and James Bond movies.
It is likely that Ford is making such statements against the backdrop of far from positive reviews for Paramount's Halo series.
