Showrunner Peter Calloway (“American Gods”, “Legion”) has decided to leave the Alan Wake TV series. He had been working on the project since 2018, Variety reports.
The reason for the departure was not creative differences on Mr. Calloway's part, but the inability to work on the adaptation of Remedy's project due to his tight schedule.
The show will air on AMC (“Breaking Bad”), and it is being produced by Contradiction Films. Among the producers are former Legendary Entertainment president Jon Jashni, Jeff Ludwig, and Remedy's creative director Sam Lake himself.
The series does not have a premiere date. Even the filming start dates have not been disclosed.
