Infinity Ward promises to take player feedback from the Modern Warfare 2 beta into account and make changes for the release version

Activision also claims that the beta attracted a record number of players. This has never happened before

According to Infinity Ward, the developers have heard all the criticism and feedback from players who took part in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta test and will introduce numerous changes into the final version of the game.

  • Enemy and teammate footsteps are promised to be made quieter. Many complained that combat boots sounded as if soldiers were stomping on purpose;
  • Enemies will become more visible. Users claim that character models blended into environments, becoming virtually invisible from a certain distance;
  • Players dislike that lobbies disband after matches, and Infinity Ward will consider a potential solution to this issue.

Activision also stated that Modern Warfare 2 managed to attract a record number of players. The highest in franchise history (counting only beta tests, of course).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will become available on October 28 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
