EA DICE was not very well prepared for the launch of the “The Liquidators” in-game event in Battlefield 2042, which stayed “live” for 32 minutes after its start before being disabled.
The reason was numerous complaints from players about being unable to play due to a broken progression system that failed to track player progress and prevented them from earning rewards for completing assignments.
After 6 hours of troubleshooting, the developers finally managed to fix all the errors and relaunch the event.
It is worth noting that “The Liquidators” failed to boost the game's player count: the peak number of concurrent active users could not surpass the 9,000 mark, compared to average figures of 7,800–8,600 over the past week.
