Ekaterina Mizulina and her Safe Internet League have once again proposed banning Twitch in Russia. However, this time, alongside Twitch, Ms. Mizulina suggests that state regulators crack down on the Chinese service Trovo as well.
“Streaming platforms such as Twitch and trovo.live also pose a distinct threat. During broadcasts on these platforms, drug-selling shops are actively advertised, which naturally poses a direct threat to the lives and health of children. We propose that the state consider restricting the operation of these platforms in our country,” — Ms. Mizulina stated.
However, Mizulina does not want to stop at streaming services and is calling for a complete ban on all violent games.
