Speaking with the hosts of the Kinda Funny Games Spoilercast, God of War Ragnarok game director Eric Williams stated that he would like to work on Castlevania in the future.
“You guys can make it happen, because you have the world’s audience right here… I don’t know what I’m doing next, but if somebody gives me that Castlevania license, we would love to make that.”
It is possible that Mr. Williams was simply joking, as he then added: “I just got into so much trouble!”.
Like many franchises owned by Konami, Castlevania has been gathering dust on the shelves for many years. The last major game was Lords of Shadow 2, released in 2014.
