Bohemia Interactive has appealed to the public asking to stop using Arma 3 to create fake military combat footage.
It is reported that more and more Arma 3 footage is appearing online, with creators attempting to pass it off as events taking place in Ukraine.
The studio has released a short guide that will help identify fake videos by their low quality, shaky camera, lack of sound, unnatural special effects, and other signs.
“While it is very flattering that Arma 3 simulates modern military conflicts so realistically, we are certainly not pleased that it can be mistaken for real combat footage and used as war propaganda,” — noted Bohemia Interactive PR manager Pavel Krizka.
