Neil Druckmann confirms Naughty Dog has moved on from Uncharted
Translated with AI from the Russian original.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Druckmann reflected on the history of the successful series, paying special attention to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, which became one of Naughty Dog's bestsellers.
“Uncharted was wildly successful... and we're able to put our final brushstroke on that story and say that we're done. We're moving on.”
The statement from Naughty Dog's co-president may come as a surprise, given the rumors circulating about Uncharted 5. Following the release of the fourth installment, many fans believed that Nathan and Elena's daughter, Cassie, should carry on her parents' legacy. Or that the spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy featuring Chloe Frazer, Nadine Ross, and Samuel Drake would receive a sequel.
As a reminder, the Uncharted series recently received a film adaptation starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan.
