Hogwarts Legacy turned out to be much shorter than the developers claimed. Completion times across different difficulty levels revealed

Based on previous claims, it seemed that completing Hogwarts Legacy would take at least 40 hours, with a 100% completion requiring over 100 hours. In reality, things turned out quite differently

During the promotional campaign for Hogwarts Legacy, it was stated that, depending on playstyle, the game would take anywhere from 40 hours (main story) to 100 or more hours (including side quests, activities, and collectibles).

As it turns out, the actual length of Hogwarts Legacy differs significantly from the claimed time.

The Hogwarts Legacy main storyline can be completed in 15–25 hours, depending on the difficulty:

• Easy difficulty will take about 15–20 hours.
• Medium difficulty takes 20–25 hours.
• Hard difficulty takes 25 hours

The figures above represent the completion time for Hogwarts Legacy including cutscenes and dialogue. If you skip them, you can rush through the game in about 10 hours.

A completionist run of Hogwarts Legacy will take around 60–80 hours:

• Easy difficulty will take about 60* hours
• Medium difficulty takes 60–70 hours.
• Hard difficulty takes 70–80 hours.

*Completing side quests, clearing activities, and gathering collectibles will take around 30–40 hours + around 20 hours for the story.

The full release of Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled for February 10, but some players have already jumped in.
