Sony is set to bring about a “revolution in cloud gaming”

The company is looking for specialists to help bring its far-reaching cloud technology plans to fruition

The Verge drew attention to new job openings at Sony, the descriptions of which point to the company’s ambitious plans in cloud technology and gaming. Apparently, Sony is set to bring about a real “revolution”.

In total, Sony has opened 22 job listings in its Future Technology Group division, seeking programmers, technical engineers, and network infrastructure specialists. The company also needs a business analyst and a director of product management.

In addition, Sony has been increasingly active in patenting technologies related to cloud gaming. Most of the patents bear the name of PlayStation architect Mark Cerny.

Recently, reports have been circulating online about a certain device dubbed Q-Lite, which will work in tandem with the PlayStation 5 via Remote Play. However, The Verge editor Sean Hollister does not believe that Sony is planning such a limited device.
