According to rumors, the developers of Modern Warfare 3 did not create new maps for the multiplayer mode of the upcoming Call of Duty, but simply upgraded the ones from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). The rumors were shared by insider el_bobberto, who has previously reported reliable information about the game.
Earlier, Activision explained the $70 price tag of the new Modern Warfare 3 by stating that it is a full-fledged AAA game, not a major expansion.
