San Francisco police managed to determine that the death threats that forced Unity to close two offices came from an employee of Unity itself.
The law enforcement report states that the employee “made threats against their employer via social media”.
It is noted that the unruly employee did not even work at the San Francisco office. It is also unknown what actions will be taken against the employee.
As a reminder, Unity recently announced the introduction of a new fee, under which game developers and publishers will pay based on the number of installs of their games made with the Unity engine.
