Ubisoft shoved a copy of Assassin's Creed Mirage into a bird's beak for PR

As conceived by the advertising department, a vulture-like bird supposedly delivers a copy of the game to a gamer's home

Ubisoft came up with a rather unusual promotional stunt for Assassin's Creed Mirage, hiring an actor dressed as an assassin and tracking down a bird of prey, shoving a disc copy of the new Assassin's Creed game into its beak.

According to Ubisoft, this is a “trial” of a new type of airmail, in which “well-known birds of prey featured in every game of the series” deliver a copy of the game to the home of a gamer who is literally ready to “take flight” with anticipation.

“Birds of prey have become synonymous with Assassin's Creed — from their distinctive, piercing cries to the way they gracefully soar over the dusty landscapes so familiar to our players,” says Mark Slaughter, Marketing Director at Ubisoft UK.
