Physical disc version of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is useless without internet connection

Players are increasingly questioning what will happen to their purchases in the future if game companies suddenly decide to cut costs and start shutting down servers for older games

Reddit user under the nickname Interesting-Squash81 has already gotten their hands on the PS5 disc version of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and, out of joy, decided to head off to Pandora ahead of time. In vain, as it turned out the game does not work without an internet connection.

The console simply displayed the Frontiers of Pandora logo and the release date — December 7.

Interesting-Squash81 tried to trick the game by changing the system date, but it did not help.

Apparently, even with a physical copy of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in hand, players will be forced to verify it on Ubisoft servers.
