Summing up the past week, looking back at and commenting on everything that made waves in the gaming industry

The past week was memorable for many interesting events involving various companies, projects, and people.

Since we have our eyes and ears in many studios, we managed to learn about review manipulation for the turn-based role-playing game Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Typically, such tricks are practiced by small teams developing modest games, but in this case, a big game based on a famous universe from a relatively large studio was caught deceiving buyers. 

Cyberpunk 2077 received its last major update, adding a functional metro system to the game, the ability to listen to the radio on the go, and several other new features. CD Projekt is shifting people and resources to the development of the next installment of The Witcher.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer stated that Xbox Game Pass generates huge profits, but stopped short of naming the amounts Microsoft has to invest in the service to maintain its operation and purchase various games for it. Mr. Spencer also remained silent about the amount of money the company spends on maintaining the internal studios acquired in large numbers in recent years.
