During a recent stream, dataminer and insider Lance McDonald claimed that Media Molecule had a version of Dreams ready for PC and PlayStation 5, but Sony canceled it essentially at the last minute when a wave of layoffs hit the studio.
On the Resetera forum, users did not particularly believe McDonald, recalling his words about Sony’s alleged plans to release Bloodborne on PC and PS5; however, former Game Informer journalist Imran Khan came to the dataminer’s defense, stating that according to his sources, Sony was indeed working on an updated Bloodborne and suggested that Dreams for PC and PS5 was canceled because Sony did not want to bother with content moderation.
