Streamer beats Gothic trilogy in five hours without taking any damage

A connoisseur of the classics set out to conquer the worlds of the Gothic trilogy and did so efficiently and spectacularly, setting a world record in the process.

The Gothic franchise is still remembered in 2024. Piranha Bytes’ classic attracts both casual players and various speedrunners.

Recently, streamer and speedrunner Karrypto marked a new outstanding achievement related to the Gothic franchise. The skilled player managed not only to beat the Gothic trilogy, but to do so flawlessly, taking no damage at all. He set a world record.

It took him a little over five and a half hours to complete the Gothic trilogy, and Karrypto did not rely on bugs or similar exploits, simply using the game mechanics legitimately.

The first Gothic took Karrypto 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 38 seconds, while things went faster with the other games. In the case of Gothic 2 — around 1 hour and 16 minutes, and the third installment of the series took ~1 hour and 49 minutes.
