After 26 years, Gothic fans have translated the book Der Bann des Schläfers into Russian. An alternative take on the beloved universe

Many years ago, a remarkable book was released. Gothic fans returned to it and created a translation.

In 2024, “Gothic” fans recalled the short story Der Bann des Schläfers (The Banishing of the Sleeper). It appeared even before the release of the first installment in the series.

Recently, the Golden Master Team presented a literary translation of Der Bann des Schläfers written by German author and friend of Piranha Bytes Alexander Wittmann — it will be available to read for free.

This short story was inspired by early “Gothic” concepts and represents an alternative development of these ideas in the form of a literary work.
