Death Stranding 2 is not even halfway ready, Hideo Kojima clarified

Earlier, Hideo Kojima stated that he already has a release date for the game, but cannot announce it publicly yet.

During Tokyo Game Show, Hideo Kojima stated that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is about “30-40%” complete, but this does not bother him at all..

Kojima also noted that the game's release is still scheduled for 2025, but he cannot provide a more specific release window “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

“I didn't announce the release date today, but it has already been decided.”

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is announced for the PlayStation 5 console. The lead roles in the game will be played by Lea Seydoux, Norman Reedus, Troy Baker, Elle Fanning, and Shioli Kutsuna.
