Authors of the miserably flopped Afro-metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: ZAU announced an “Afro-Gothic role-playing game”

It is unknown whether Project Uso will make it to release, as Surgent Studios has no money for the game and almost all developers were previously laid off.

Surgent Studios, responsible for the Afrocentric metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: ZAU that flopped miserably, has announced its new project — an “Afro-Gothic role-playing game” called Project Uso, inspired by Planescape: Torment. The studio already has a working prototype in hand.

Players will control a character whose body is shared by two completely different personalities that sometimes clash with each other.

Currently, Surgent is looking for funding, as following the failure of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, the studio has fallen on hard times and has already been forced to part ways with nearly the entire team.
