Space Marine 2 sales surpass five million copies

The brutal action game, released on PC as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, has become a major hit for Saber Interactive

Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have announced that sales of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have crossed the five million copies mark.

The creators of the action title also announced plans to release Update 5.0 in the first half of December, which will bring the “Dark Angels” Chapter pack with cosmetic items of the Second Founding Chapters to Space Marine 2, along with the “Obelisk” operation, sending brave space marines to Demerium, where they must sever the power flow guarding the “Aurora” device. The mission's events unfold parallel to the main campaign.

Along with the update, the game will introduce support for DLSS 3 and FSR 3 technologies.

Saber Interactive also intends to update Space Marine 2 on PlayStation 5 Pro, bringing it to a 1080p - 2160p resolution upscaled to 4K using PSSR at 30 fps in “Quality” mode. In performance mode, Space Marine 2 on PS5 Pro will offer a 1080p - 1440p resolution with that same 4K upscaling, but at 60 frames per second.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in September.
