Jason Momoa decided to help promote the Minecraft film adaptation and stated that he does not let his kids play video games

Momoa also does not let his kids watch TV and has not bought a mobile phone for his 16-year-old son.

Hollywood actor Jason Momoa, known for his roles in “Aquaman” and “Game of Thrones”, is actively promoting the Minecraft film adaptation, in which he plays one of the lead roles. In a conversation with Deadline, Momoa shared details about his parenting style, revealing that he does not let his children watch TV, play video games, or even use phones.

Momoa shared that his own mother forbade him from playing video games during his childhood, insisting that he spend more time outside.

“She would say, ‘Go outside, climb a tree, ride a skateboard,’” — the actor recalls.

He adopted this approach in raising his own children as well. According to him, he wants them to develop their creativity in other ways, rather than through screens.

“We don't have a TV, my son doesn't even have a phone. He's 16 and he doesn't have a phone. We're different, man. I just want them to use their imagination differently,” — Momoa noted.

Momoa says he didn't have a phone as a kid either, and he grew up just fine without one.
