Electronic Arts does not plan to raise prices for its games in the near future

Nintendo and Microsoft were the pioneers in terms of the new pricing policy.

Electronic Arts has stated that it does not currently intend to raise prices for its video games, despite other major publishers such as Nintendo and Microsoft having already announced increases in the cost of their products. This became known from the company leadership’s responses during the latest financial report.

During the Q&A session, an attendee asked whether EA was considering the possibility of raising prices on its games, given the “pricing power” of its franchises and the actions of competitors. EA Chief Financial Officer Stuart Canfield replied:

“At this time, we have no changes planned to our current strategy.”

CEO Andrew Wilson added that the company’s priority is to provide players with high quality and value, thereby driving sustainable business growth.

Earlier this year, Nintendo announced that some of its new games would cost from $80. Microsoft also raised the price of AAA titles from its internal studios to $80.
