After two years since the announcement, Dual Effect is ready to return with a continuation of the dark story of Caroline Walker. At Gamescom, a trailer for Tormented Souls 2 was shown, in which the developers confirmed the release date.
The game, inspired by classic survival horror, will once again offer a tense atmosphere and challenging trials. The release is scheduled for October 23, 2025, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The plot will continue the events of the first part. After the horrors in Wildberger Hospital, Caroline tries to return to normal life, but this proves impossible. The abduction of her sister Anna by Mother Lucia and her cult leads the heroine into the dark labyrinth of the monastery. There, Caroline once again takes up her old "friend" - a pneumatic nail gun - and begins a desperate struggle for salvation.
After escaping from the monastery, she faces a new horror - the secluded Hess Villa. To survive, Caroline will have to use supernatural abilities that will allow her to get to the "Other Side" of the city and fight monsters.
