MGS3 Remake Reviews Are Out. High Scores, But There Are Complaints
The first reviews for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater have appeared online. On Metacritic, after 59 opinions on the PS5 version, the game has 86%.
The overall assessment from critics is positive, but without surprises. Almost all journalists note that Konami has opted for a safe option, without adding any noticeable innovations to the remake.
Publications are giving high scores, but at the same time pointing out outdated elements of the game. For example, The Games Machine writes about "primitive AI behavior" that looks archaic.
Some editorial offices have also noticed technical problems. Journalists complain about graphical artifacts that occur during upscaling, especially noticeable on the characters' hair. "Eva and Boss sometimes look like a cloud of pixels has been glued to their heads," notes GameSpot.
It is also reported that there are rare animation slowdowns on PlayStation 5, which only appear in staged scenes.
The game will be released on August 28 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
