Nintendo has unveiled a fresh trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, in which the series takes a dark turn. Lumiose City becomes the epicenter of dangerous events, and Mega Victreebel appears in a frightening guise.
The trailer shows two young trainers breaking into an abandoned building at night. Inside, they are met with strange smells, drops of corrosive liquid, and disturbing sounds. Curiosity prevails, and on the top floor, they witness an attack: a huge Mega Victreebel covers the walls with purple slime and pounces on a person. This form appeared thanks to Mega Evolution, familiar from Pokémon X and Y, enhancing the monster's acidic properties.
It turns out that the Victreebel belongs to a construction worker and is not a wild Pokémon. Its power underscores how dangerous creatures can be in an urban environment.
According to Nintendo, the game will offer elements of investigation. Players will have to investigate strange occurrences in Lumiose, and the atmosphere will be built on light elements of survival and horror, where Pokémon are capable of attacking not only other monsters, but also people.
The release is scheduled for October 2025. Players can expect a tense and dangerous adventure in the world of Pokémon.
