Madness and Humor. The Katamari Series Will Get a Full Sequel in October After a Long Break

Bandai Namco has many well-known series, but some sequels have to be waited a long time. Now, after 13 years, a new part of Katamari with the title Once Upon a Katamari will return to the players.

The last full release was on PlayStation Vita under the name Touch My Katamari. Despite positive reviews, the game failed to win a wide audience. Now, Bandai Namco, together with the RENGAME studio, is preparing the Once Upon a Katamari project, which will be a continuation of the series.

After a series of remasters and re-releases, the moment has come for a new experience. The creators promise fresh stories about the Divine Prince and the King of the Cosmos. In spirit, the game will remain true to its roots: absurdity, madness and ridiculous humor will once again become the basis of the gameplay. Fans who are used to the crazy ideas of Katamari will get exactly what they expected.

The developers presented an introductory video, and the game itself will be released on October 23, 2025 on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
