After the success of the "K-Pop Demon Hunters" karaoke version in theaters, viewers can now sing along with the characters at home.

Netflix has added a karaoke version of the animated musical "K-Pop Demon Hunters" to the platform, which unexpectedly became a box office hit. In its first three days of theatrical release, the film grossed $18 million, surpassing Zach Cregger's horror film "Barbarian" and becoming one of the highest-grossing August premieres in North America. At the same time, the film has been available on streaming for over two months.

The karaoke format was initially prepared specifically for cinemas: song lyrics were displayed on the screen, and viewers sang and danced during the sessions. The popularity of the format turned out to be so high that it became available to all Netflix subscribers on August 25.

The film's main hit, the song Golden, became the first track by a female group to top the Billboard Hot 100 since 2001, when Destiny's Child topped the chart. Other songs, including Your Idol and Soda Pop, also entered the top ten.

On Netflix, "K-Pop Demon Hunters" has already become the second most-watched film in the platform's history and is predicted to overtake "Red Notice" with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Gosling.

Amid the success, the studio announced the expansion of the franchise: two sequels and a live-action remake are in development. According to The Wrap, Netflix is in talks with directors Maggie Kiley and Chris Appelhans about returning to the project.
