The tactical shooter genre has long been occupied by large projects, but new studios continue to fight for the attention of players.
Now Grassrootz Studio and publisher Team17, who were not previously known in this direction, have joined it. The question is, will their new game Wraith Ops be able to assert itself and become noticeable against the background of competitors? There are few chances, but it is quite possible.
The authors are betting on a cooperative format, trying to remind fans of what they loved this genre for back in the days of cult series like Battlefield. At Gamescom, a fresh trailer was shown, revealing three game classes. Among them is a specialist with special skills, a fighter with heavy weapons, as well as a faster and more aggressive assault trooper.
Team17 promises to provide Wraith Ops with the necessary support — both technical and marketing. If everything goes well, the project may become a worthy addition to the tactical action genre.
