Capcom canceled several Dino Crisis remakes — insider
Franchise fans have long been asking for remakes of old games, as they did with Resident Evil.
Recently, insider Dusk Golem reminded about the Dino Crisis franchise. According to his information, Capcom made attempts to remake it, but something went wrong:
«I hope Capcom eventually decides what they want to do with Dino Crisis. For the record, I don't think this is new information, but there have been several attempts to remake Dino Crisis over the past decade.
The first was from Capcom Vancouver before they closed (I still have some leaked materials on my hard drive about it). The second was a few years ago, but it didn't work out, so it was canceled.
Hopefully one day they will figure out where they want to go next with Dino Crisis and the game will be able to pass the prototyping stage».
However, franchise fans have hope: Capcom recently registered the Dino Crisis trademark — there is an opinion that a new project is planned.
For now, improved versions of the old Dino Crisis are available on the market, and some modders are creating their own remakes.
