The Sims 4 Expansion Breaks Saves for the Second Year — Developers Comment on Longstanding Issue
Technical features of For Rent continue to periodically surface and create inconveniences.
In 2023, The Sims 4 received the For Rent Expansion Pack. Since then, fans of the life simulator who installed the DLC have been complaining about a critical issue — saves are breaking.
In 2025, the problem has not disappeared, and Maxis recently spoke about it again. They are currently tracking dozens of errors related to For Rent, and there are some solutions, for example:
