In a few weeks, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will present fresh information about its two new projects.
The studio, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the brand formerly known as Yakuza, is working on a reboot of Virtua Fighter, as well as a new game, Stranger Than Heaven, about which almost nothing is known yet. Therefore, on September 24, 2025, the RGG Summit will take place, where information about current games will be revealed and, possibly, previously unannounced projects will be presented. Immediately after that, an RGG Direct will be held, dedicated to a more detailed analysis. Fans from Russia will have to get up early: the broadcast starts at 6:00 AM (Moscow time).
There is a chance that the event will bring the long-awaited announcement of a remake of Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan. Fans have been asking for this game to be brought back for many years, because the original was only released in Japan on PlayStation 3 and never reached Western audiences. Interest in the remake was fueled by a recent studio stream, where the process of creating the 2008 original was discussed.
