The creators of Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Honkai: Star Rail continue to expand their gaming portfolio.
After a teaser in May, HoYoverse has officially unveiled its next game. Honkai: Nexus Anima is described as an adventure strategy game with creature collection elements. Players will embark on a journey through a shattered world where abstract ideas take shape and become allies or enemies.
"Nexus" represents the connections between opposing concepts: Light and Darkness, Life and Death, Love and Hate. When these connections are severed, the world plunges into chaos, and the ideas themselves transform into independent entities — "Anima". As an interdimensional traveler, the player will form bonds with "Anima", fight, and explore worlds, restoring balance.
The game world is declared as open, with an emphasis on exploration and active interaction with the environment. In battles, "Anima" act on par with the player's character, and the story promises to reveal the secrets of the hero's past and the nature of the "Nexus" itself.
Along with the announcement, HoYoverse opened registration for closed beta testing for PC and iOS. Registration will last until September 12, and details of the event will be published later.
A promotional campaign has also started on social networks. HoYoverse is giving away $100 gift cards, branded merchandise, and additional spots in the testing.
