The creators of Escape from Tarkov are participating in the PAX West exhibition. Reports are appearing online about what was shown to guests.
Members of the «Tarkov Meta-Movement» community drew attention to the stories of those who visited PAX West. Streamer Airwingmarine and other users talked about a story mission at the Terminal.
Below are just some of the details (the full version with various spoilers can be found in the community):
Judging by the story, the mission starts with a cinematic cutscene explaining the lore of TerraGroup, USEC, and BEAR. Everything is voiced in Russian with English subtitles.
The cutscene will continue at the Terminal, where there will also be full voice acting in Russian, and some friendly NPCs will appear. A military police officer «explains that you will have to wait for evacuation and leads you to a room. Here you can already control your character, you have no items, so you need to collect food and medicine that are in the room».
Soon another cutscene starts: soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces are fighting with Scavs, one of them shoots from a grenade launcher, after which the player regains control of the character, and it becomes possible to leave the room: «The gameplay is similar to a Scav raid, only instead of Scavs, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces are friendly».
